Need help to achieve your goals in life, to overcome an obstacle? I use an array of counselling skills to provide a service that will let you gain awareness of what has been holding you back and getting in the way of your goals.
All counselling spaces should be a safe place in which to explore and experiment and as such everyone of diverse culture, sexuality, worldview, etc... is welcome without the fear of being judged.

Counselling
Get the Most out of Your Life
Counselling is a therapeutic relationship with both ethical and professional boundaries that specialises in helping people identify and achieve their personal goals by becoming aware of the underlying issues that are causing them distress, anxiety, and stress.
If you have never been to counselling before you may think that the counsellor will force you to confront your deepest fears, rest assured, it doesn't work like that. A counsellor will walk beside you but you lead the way. I will go at your pace. Yes we can look at your fears but when you are ready to do so.
Within the counselling relationship you will find a safe and non-judgemental space. Remember you are never the problem, the issue is the problem.
Your "Space" Counselling
Feeling comfortable in your surroundings
On-line sessions are available.
This is helpful if you are located some distance from my practice or are overseas, have mobility issues, feel anxious about going into someone else's space or if you just would feel more comfortable having a session in your own space.
If you are living locally I can also offer a call out service where I can travel to your place for a counselling session. This does incur an extra cost if you live more than 15 kms from my address (please see FAQ's)
FAQ's
Frequently asked questions
Getting started - It's sometimes hard to judge if a counsellor is going to be right for you, it pays to shop around until you meet someone who feels right for you, some who you can build trust and rapport with.
For this reason the first session I have with a new client is billed at half price or you can have a free 15 minute phone call (send an email including your available times/days and I can ring you).
Address - I have a dedicated counselling studio at my property.
16 Tulsi Lane, Nimbin.
On-line - sessions are available.
Availability - Available Thursday, Friday 10am - 6pm, Saturday, Sunday 10am - 5pm
Cost - The fee for each counselling session is $80 or on a sliding scale of $40-$80 (this is dependant on your income - lack of funds does not have to become a barrier to accessing counselling). If you require me to travel to your residence (see Your Space Counselling) it is free within 15 kms of my counselling room address (Tulsi Lane, Nimbin); 15 - 30 kms will incur an additional $20 for travel costs.
Please contact me if you are having difficulty paying these fees.
Medicare rebates are not available at this stage.
Sessions - A session usually lasts for 50 minutes. Frequency of sessions depend on a few factors; how urgent?, how "raw" you are feeling?, how much support you need at any particular point of your life?
The thing to remember is that it can take time to integrate and process what has been talked about in a session - so please leave at least a week for this to happen, usually two. Again it depends on the individual and the issue.
Cancellations - Please keep in mind that if you cannot attend, provide as much prior notice as possible so that someone who is waiting for an appointment can be booked in. If the cancellation is due to an emergency then that is understandable and there will be no charge.
